I once saw a phrase written down that said “Success only comes before work in the dictionary”. How true is that? Even the ‘overnight success’ story will have put in months and years of dedicated effort to hone their skills to become as good in their chosen discipline as they are.

There’s also that other phrase that goes something like “the harder I work, the luckier I get” Again, this is very true. I’m sure you’ll recognise this in your own successes that the times you’ve put in extra hours of hard-work has resulted in better outputs and what others might consider ‘lucky’ outcomes because they weren’t prepared to put in the effort in the first place.

So where else could you work overtime?
