Fake plastic trees last a lot longer than real ones.
Fake plastic trees maintain their colour better than real ones.
Fake plastic trees don’t make a mess like real ones.
So why would we walk past a hundred fake plastic trees, hardly taking the time to notice their presence but stop and actually take the time to admire a real one?
We marvel at the imperfections nature creates.
We appreciate real substance.
We value the struggle of growing.
The same is true with people. Many of us think perfection is how we need to be. That making mistakes and showing our imperfections means we are in some way less worthy in the eyes of others.
It wears us out.
My advice, be who YOU want to be.
