Leaders thrive on freedom.

 

If you want to create a positive and lasting culture, give your people the range and opportunity to express themselves.

 

If people use it to innovate and create great work for your customers, it’s worth it.

 

If they don’t, you know that they aren’t right for your culture and need to be moved aside.

 

Growth creates complexity. The natural reaction to complexity is to overload on process. This feels good for a while, you are growing and there is control.

 

But, what happens when your leaders, frustrated by all the governance start to leave the business?

 

What happens when the industry starts to disrupt and you are too highly controlled to react to the change?

 

Whilst leaders thrive on freedom but they are also highly self-disciplined.

 

Focus on giving freedom, not process.
