(If you have never heard this song I urge you listen and I defy you to not be nodding your head or tapping your foot by the end!)

From one to another. Both good and bad ideas come from the same place.

Without the bad ideas the good ideas won’t flow.

Creativity is a numbers game.

Whenever I’m involved in a creative activity I try to follow a process I learnt from a business coach – the 4 Fs.

1. Flit – Allow yourself and your colleagues to come up with as many ideas as possible. No idea is a bad idea at this stage.

2. Filter – Rationalise the ideas so that only the very best make it through.

3. Focus – Put form to those ideas that made the cut and develop plans to implement them.

4. Follow Through – This stage is key. Deliver your plans and make your ideas a reality.
