I always thought I was quite a focused person. I knew where I wanted to go and stayed on track in order to get there.

Since starting a new role  and getting used to a new place to work, I’ve found that I’m missing being a daydreamer.

That doesn’t mean I used to drift through days going from one vague whim to another.

In my old role I would book a meeting room so I could take myself away from the open plan office and think. Giving myself the time away helped me to pause and ponder what we needed to do in the future.

Being new in role I am still getting used to my environment. I haven’t quite found my favourite places to hide out yet, but I’m sure I will.

You might find that you need a space to be alone and allow your mind to wander so that you can be creative.

If so breathe deeper, daydreamer.
