Each Friday as part of this blog I share a few things that I have loved during the previous week. It might be a book, a film, a podcast or something less tangible like a behaviour or a feeling. This week’s post includes the Bose Soundlink speaker, the historic city of Lincoln and babies.

Bose Soundlink: As you can probably tell, I love music and every once in a while something comes along to make me love it even more. It happened with my first IPod – being able to choose from my entire collection without having to change CD was brilliant! It has happened again with this Bose Soundlink speaker that I bought a couple of weeks ago. The sound is so deep with bass, it brings another layer to my favourite tunes. Even better is the fact that being Bluetooth connected I can just pick it up and take it where ever I go in the house. The only problem it creates is the arguments between my son and I about which song we play first!

The Historic City of Lincoln: I took some time out last week to visit a good friend in Lincoln. I suppose it helps that the Sun was shining on the day we visited but we had an amazing time. Seeing the Lincoln Cathedral, the Castle and the Magna Carta was fantastic. The place is full of historical significance. If you are ever in the neighbourhood, pay it a visit!

Babies: The main reason we went to Lincoln was to meet my friends new baby daughter who is 6 week’s old. Whilst I have children of my own, it is easy to forget how small and helpless they are when new born. At the same time, all I had to do was look at my friend’s smile to remember that feeling of warmth and contentment that a new baby brings. When my son was born, I remember receiving a text message saying, “Now you know how the best feeling in the world feels!” Absolutely right….!

In writing about babies I suppose it would be remiss of me not to include a link to this classic from Pulp. Enjoy!
