I have a number of situations coming up in the next week that normally make me feel quite anxious. Presentations, issues and deadlines  – the kind of thing that most of us face on a pretty regular basis.

I realised earlier that I was spending more time thinking about these pressures than I was enjoying my free time so resolved to do something about it.

Obviously I need to prepare for the situations so that I can get the best out of them but my resolution was to make sure that when I’m not preparing, the thoughts don’t cloud all the positive things going on in my life.

I need to make sure that the feelings don’t own me.
