I was reading an article the other day about a 75-year study conducted by Harvard which sought to find out what the key factors were in leading a happy life. It turns out – it’s love!
It’s not how much money you have, how many material possessions you own or how many likes you get on social media. All you need is love.
The results of the study show that having someone to rely on helps your nervous system relax, helps your brain stay healthier for longer, and reduces both emotional and physical pain.
What’s more it doesn’t matter whether you are an introvert or an extrovert, whether you have a big group of friends or a few carefully chosen people you are close to; the driver for achieving happiness is the quality and depth of those relationships. It’s how much you are prepared to share and how relaxed you are with your nearest and dearest.
So if you want to build a good life….love is all you need!
