Being connected is a huge driver in how we act on a daily basis.
We strive to make and keep as many connections as we can. We aim for perfection and avoid making mistakes so that people will want to connect with us.
This is the biggest irony of all.
It’s not in moments of perfection that we seek to connect with others.
It’s only when we see that other people are vulnerable do we reach out ourselves.
So why do we play small and minimise our risks?
To avoid looking vulnerable?
To avoid missing out on connections?
It doesn’t quite add up does it?
Take risks, invite the fear and embrace the shame. Not only will you grow through the experience but you’ll make new connections along the way.
